#MomsPray Friday

“May our sons flourish in their youth like well-nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace.” – Psalm 144:12

And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel. – Luke 1:80

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. – Luke 2:40

Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people. – Luke 2:52

When it comes to praying for my children, I believe so much in declaring God’s word over their lives. I usually say to myself:

“I’ve never been a parent before, but God has. He knows everything I need to know. So, I will follow in His footsteps”

Today, as we pray, we will be declaring God’s word over the lives of our children.

  • Father, I thank You for the privilege of motherhood. I am so grateful to you for allowing me to share in this Glorious calling of nurturing and raising mighty seeds.
  • Lord, I agree with Your word concerning my children today, and I declare that my children have uncommon wisdom. They are grown up in their youth and they carry God on their inside for exploits, creativity and witty inventions in the name of Jesus.
  • Lord, I declare that my children are made for the palace. They are always above only and never beneath. Everywhere my children find themselves, they always lead the pack. They are influencers for God’s kingdom and an example to all their peers in matters of righteousness, purity and holiness in the name of Jesus.
  • I declare that my seeds are Royalty and they will walk with the consciousness of their Royal status. They will only engage in activities that are fitting for Kings and Queens in Jesus name
  • Lord, I pray that my children are growing in stature – physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual…in the name of Jesus. They are increasing on every side. They are strong in Spirit, they are full of the Spirit of God.
  • I declare that my children are full of God’s wisdom and full of God’s Grace. Their entire lives will be hinged on the Grace of God. Everywhere they go, Grace covers them. When people see them, all they will see is Grace in the name of Jesus.
  • I declare that the favour of the Lord encompasses around all my children as a shield. They receive favour with God and with man. When others are being looked down upon, they will be looked up to. They will be singled out for favour no matter what may be going on around them in Jesus name.
  • I pray that they will receive an uncommon desire to do the will of God in Jesus name. They will serve the purpose of God in their generation. They will not be carried away by all the negative influences going on around them in the name of Jesus.
  • Thank You Father because as we have spoken in Your ears, You have done unto us. We receive results with hearts of thanksgiving

#MomsPray Friday

Thank God for the end of another work week. It’s Friday and it’s time to pray!
Do you often feel like there’s more to this our present way of life?
Do you sometimes feel like your life should count for more?
Living the abundant life is more than driving the latest car or wearing the latest designer clothes. It’s been kingdom minded, bearing an unquenchable thirst and passion for God’s kingdom.
If you are ready for more than this, please join me to pray today.

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned by the Lord Jesus – the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful Grace of God.” – Acts 20:28

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” – John 15:1-8

  • Thank You Father for today. I bless Your holy name for keeping me and watching over me and all that’s mine. Truly, I am grateful and I return all praise, honour and adoration to you.
  • Lord, We are confident in Your ability to hear us and answer us.
  • Father, I come before You today and I declare that my life will count for You in Jesus name.
  • Lord, from today, I declare that I am Spiritually fruitful in Jesus name. Help me to use my life for Your glory.
  • Father, help me not to be so consumed by my personal goals and desires that I forget the very reason for our existence.
  • Lord, cause my life to matter for Your use. Help me to be totally sold out to the things that matter to You.
  • Lord, I declare that I will bear fruits and those fruits will abide. I will populate Your kingdom Lord in Jesus name.
  • Help me to be committed to winning souls for Christ. Everywhere I find myself, I will be a shining example of a true child of God, that my life will bring sinners to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus.
  • Lord, I pray that I will not be cast away as unfruitful in Your Presence in Jesus name.
  • Anything in me that will not allow me to bear fruits as You want, Lord, please cleanse me and purge me from them all in Jesus name.
  • Thank you Lord because from now on, my life will continually bring pleasure to You in Jesus name.

We receive answers to our prayers with thanksgiving in Jesus name.

Have a Blessed Day,

Welcome To March!

I was just pondering on the past two months of this year.

As I sit pondering on what the next month is going to be like, I just wanted a word from God. Anytime I ask God for a word and He answers like He’s been waiting for me to ask, it’s always a word I will not forget in a hurry!

So, here goes God’s word for us for Striving Nigerian Mom for the next month:

Now bring me someone who can play the harp.”

While the harp was being played, the power of the Lord came upon Elisha, and he said, “This is what the Lord says: This dry valley will be filled with pools of water! You will see neither wind nor rain, says the Lord, but this valley will be filled with water. You will have plenty for yourselves and your cattle and other animals. But this is only a simple thing for the Lord, for he will make you victorious over the army of Moab! You will conquer the best of their towns, even the fortified ones. You will cut down all their good trees, stop up all their springs, and ruin all their good land with stones.”

The next day at about the time when the morning sacrifice was offered, water suddenly appeared! It was flowing from the direction of Edom, and soon there was water everywhere. – 2 Kings 3: 15 – 20

Yes! That’s what God is saying!

Water represents ease from hardship, abundance in the place of famine, increase in the place of dryness.

WELCOME TO MARCH

In the month of March, in unexpected ways and from unexpected quarters, the blessings of the Lord are locating you. You’re moving from hardship into ease, from famine to abundance, from dryness to fruitfulness and from lack into abundance. Your life is experiencing a breaking forth like you’ve never experienced before. I declare that your influence is increasing in ways you have never anticipated.

Every valley experience you’re going through right now is giving way to the mountain top experience. I declare concerning you that your life will be filled with water! I pray for you that you’re victorious over every plan of the enemy for your life in Jesus name. I decree that as the word of the Lord has come, you will see water appear suddenly, and there will be water everywhere.

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. – Isaiah 12:3

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. – Isaiah 35:6

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: – Isaiah 44:3

And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. – Isaiah 58: 11

The Lord shall bring to pass His word concerning us. After all, it is a simple thing for the Lord to do!

As we journey into the last month of the first quarter, remember to evaluate your year plan. Are you on point? Or do you need to catch up in certain areas. Don’t let the fear of failure or slipping up keep you down. Get up and keep moving.

Happy New Month.

2016 Starts Now!

A Little while ago, I was pondering and conversing with God in my mind about what 2016 will be like.

I said to myself:

“What Will 2016 Be Like?”

And I heard the Lord ask me right back:

“How Do You Want 2016 to Be Like?”

Immediately I understood what God was saying to me!

And I was so excited and humbled by this statement.

God had given me a Blank Cheque. Wow!

And to cap it all, He even permitted me to extend it to my sisters here, and to as many that will key in to this season of Sowing The Seeds of prayer.

And I know without a shadow of doubt that God is too faithful to fail.

He will honor His word.

Gods-promises-to-us3-600x300

As we begin Our ‘2016 Begins Now Prayer’ tomorrow till the end of December, please hold on to God throughout this period.

He’s set to do something, something tremendous for you in 2016.

I’d advise you to take a Journal with you everywhere you are in this season, because God will begin to drop some things into your spirit. Those words are the things you will need to navigate the next season of 2016.

Just trust Him.

Lord, Whatever You’re Doing In This Season, Don’t do it without me.

See You Tomorrow.

Love,

Oluseye Ashiru

STAY WITH HIM

“There once was a man who lived in Ramathaim. He was descended from the old Zuph family in the Ephraim hills. His name was Elkanah. (He was connected with the Zuphs from Ephraim through his father Jeroham, his grandfather Elihu, and his great-grandfather Tohu.) He had two wives. The first was Hannah; the second was Peninnah. Peninnah had children; Hannah did not. Every year this man went from his hometown up to Shiloh to worship and offer a sacrifice to God -of-the-Angel-Armies. Eli and his two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, served as the priests of God there. When Elkanah sacrificed, he passed helpings from the sacrificial meal around to his wife Peninnah and all her children, but he always gave an especially generous helping to Hannah because he loved her so much, and because God had not given her children. But her rival wife taunted her cruelly, rubbing it in and never letting her forget that God had not given her children. This went on year after year. Every time she went to the sanctuary of God she could expect to be taunted. Hannah was reduced to tears and had no appetite. Her husband Elkanah said, “Oh, Hannah, why are you crying? Why aren’t you eating? And why are you so upset? Am I not of more worth to you than ten sons?” So Hannah ate. Then she pulled herself together, slipped away quietly, and entered the sanctuary. The priest Eli was on duty at the entrance to God ’s Temple in the customary seat. Crushed in soul, Hannah prayed to God and cried and cried—inconsolably. Then she made a vow: Oh, God -of-the-Angel-Armies, If you’ll take a good, hard look at my pain, If you’ll quit neglecting me and go into action for me By giving me a son, I’ll give him completely, unreservedly to you. I’ll set him apart for a life of holy discipline. It so happened that as she continued in prayer before God , Eli was watching her closely. Hannah was praying in her heart, silently. Her lips moved, but no sound was heard. Eli jumped to the conclusion that she was drunk. He approached her and said, “You’re drunk! How long do you plan to keep this up? Sober up, woman!” Hannah said, “Oh no, sir—please! I’m a woman hard used. I haven’t been drinking. Not a drop of wine or beer. The only thing I’ve been pouring out is my heart, pouring it out to God . Don’t for a minute think I’m a bad woman. It’s because I’m so desperately unhappy and in such pain that I’ve stayed here so long.” Eli answered her, “Go in peace. And may the God of Israel give you what you have asked of him.” “Think well of me—and pray for me!” she said, and went her way. Then she ate heartily, her face radiant.
1 Samuel 1:1-18 MSG

The Story of Hannah is one that inspires hope anytime I read it.

Hannah was waiting on God for a Miracle.
She knew God COULD do it.

She knew God WOULD Do it.

She maintained a positive attitude.
After she prayed, she got up rejoicing. She trusted that her prayer had been answered.
Sometimes when we pray, we believe that God can do what we have asked. We just don’t fully trust that He Will Do It as He has Promised.
Today, let me encourage you that God is too faithful to fail.
Resolve to have an attitude of worship.
Believe that God has done what He promised.
I tell you that God is making necessary arrangements concerning your matter.

You Just Stay With Him.

“Up before dawn, they worshiped God and returned home to Ramah. Elkanah slept with Hannah his wife, and God began making the necessary arrangements in response to what she had asked. Before the year was out, Hannah had conceived and given birth to a son. She named him Samuel, explaining, “I asked God for him.”
1 Samuel 1:19-20 MSG

A wonderful Day to you all Sisters!
